OK. This seems to have been a pretty easy decision by Princeton to shut this one down. Groups at Princeton can discuss the logistical validity of the party's claim that it was not targeting Mexican culture, but when a party models its theme after an ethnic minority it leaves itself vulnerable to being shut down.
Sure, there have been more egregious attacks on Mexican-American students at Princeton and other campuses, but if you truly want to have a party, there are a few themes that are probably a good idea to avoid. Dressing to emulate historically-marginalized groups is a pretty surefire way to ensure that your party will end prematurely.
