Iris Aikaterini Frangou is a third-year Columbia undergraduate who is majoring in Political Science and who hails from Athens, Greece. Her interest in politics was first sparked through her participation in Debate which she has thereupon pursued nationally and internationally. She is at present, the founder of the United Nations Association Chapter at Columbia, the Web Editor for the Columbia Political Review, and the New York Ambassador and Executive Board Member of YoungShip Greece, a non-profit organization supporting the younger members of the maritime and shipping industry. She spends her time writing for the Columbia Political Review, of which she is also a specialist for the Europe region, and engaging U.S. Congress members on global health issues, as a U.N. Global Health Fellow.
